Commercial boundary

If BobNet helps you make money, you need a commercial license.

Commercial use means more than direct resale. It includes using BobNet, Bob Nodes, Bob Nets, or a derivative work to create revenue, business value, client value, or operational advantage.

Revenue

Making money

Using BobNet to generate revenue, sell a service, power a paid product, monetize output, or support paid work requires a commercial license.

Business

Workflows

Using BobNet in a company, client project, contractor workflow, agency operation, or internal business automation requires a commercial license.

Hosted

Services

Hosting BobNet for others, selling access, bundling it into another product, or using it as a backend for a commercial service requires a commercial license.

Brand

No reskin resale

Reskinning, rebranding, white-labeling, repackaging, sublicensing, or redistributing BobNet as a commercial or competing product requires written permission.

Commercial terms

What the paid license is meant to cover.

The BobNet Commercial License is the permission path for commercial use that is not covered by the PolyForm Noncommercial community license.

Grant

Use BobNet commercially

A paid commercial license allows the licensed customer to use BobNet, Bob Nodes, Bob Nets, and derivative internal modifications for their own approved commercial workflows.

Limit

No resale without permission

The commercial license does not automatically grant the right to resell, sublicense, white-label, rebrand, host for third parties, or package BobNet as a competing product.

Brand

BobNet stays BobNet

BobNet, Bob Hub, BoB, and related marks may not be used to imply official status, partnership, endorsement, or ownership without written permission.

Plain English

Play with it for free. Profit from it with a license.

If you are learning, testing, building your own noncommercial nodes or nets, or exploring how BobNet works, you are in the community lane. If BobNet creates revenue, supports a business, serves clients, powers a product, or becomes part of a commercial workflow, you are in the commercial lane.

Short version
